March 31, (2:52 a.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a request for mutual aid from Lafayette County regarding a structure fire at a location in the 1600 block of Hirsbrunner Road in Lafayette County. Mineral Point Fire Department responded to the location and assisted.
(6:03 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a one vehicle crash in the 6900 block of County Road K in the Township of Arena. The Arena Fire Department, Arena EMS and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location. The operator was transported from the scene to a local hospital. Precision Towing and Service assisted with removal of the vehicle.
(10:28 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a disturbance at a residence in the 3100 block of North Main Street in the Hamlet of Edmund. Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the location. Subsequent to an investigation, Jeffery S. Grady, age 57, was arrested on criminal charge of Disorderly Conduct – domestic related. Grady was transported to the Iowa County Jail where he was booked on the charge.
April 1, (7:38 p.m.), Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the Mount Horeb Police Department with a traffic stop at Mile Marker 54 in the Township of Ridgeway. Following an investigation, the operator, Jeremy L. Edwards, age 51, was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence. Edwards was transported to the Iowa County Jail and booked on the charges.
April 2, (12:31 a.m.), Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the Dodgeville Police Department with a traffic stop at North Bishop Street and East Merrimac Street in the City of Dodgeville. Following an investigation, the operator, Joseph E. Christianson, age 63, was arrested for Operating While Under the Influence. Christianson was released to a responsible party.
(2:34 a.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a disturbance at a residence near Lisa Street and Bea Ann Drive in the City of Dodgeville. Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies assisted the Dodgeville Police Department at the scene. As a result, Brandon Dolphin, age 25, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct-Domestic and Criminal Damage to Property. Dolphin was transported to the Iowa County Jail, where he was booked on the charges.
April 3, (12:22 p.m.), The Iowa County Communication Center received a request from the Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Probation and Parole Office in the City of Dodgeville regarding an order to detain a subject on active supervision through the department. A Dodgeville Police Officer and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the location. Anna M. Frazier, age 32, was arrested and transported to the Iowa County Jail where she was booked on a probation hold.
(1:55 p.m.), An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle on US Highway 18 near the intersection of Sinbad Road in the Township of Linden. Subsequent to an investigation, the operator of the stopped vehicle, Julian Rivera Vargas, age 31, was arrested for criminal charges of Operating While Under the Influence (third offense), Operate After Revocation (due to an OWI conviction), and Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device. Vargas was transported to the Iowa County Jail and booked on the charges.
April 4, (9:21 p.m.), The Iowa County Communication Center received a request from the Grant County Communication Center for mutual aid for a fire in the 400 Block of South Park St. in Livingston. The Highland Fire Department, Highland EMS, Rewey Fire Department, and Cobb Fire Department responded to the scene.
April 5, (2:02 p.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a brush fire near a residence in the 1800 block of County Road K in the Township of Moscow. The Hollandale Fire Department, Barneveld Fire Department, Barneveld EMS, Hollandale First Responders, and an Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to the location. The fire was extinguished and no injuries were reported.
April 6, (5:48 a.m.), The Iowa County Communications Center received a report of a car vs. deer crash in the area of State Road 133 and County Road N in the Township of Pulaski. The Avoca Fire Department, Avoca EMS, and Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to the scene. The operator was evaluated and cleared on scene by EMS. Nachreiner Auto Care assisted with removal of the vehicle.
(6:18 p.m.), An Iowa County Sheriff’s Deputy, assisted by the Dodgeville Police Department, conducted a traffic stop on North Bequette Street near the intersection of West Leffler Street in the City of Dodgeville. Subsequent to an investigation, the operator of the vehicle, Justin D. Gilmore, age 50, was arrested for Operating While under the Influence (2nd). Gilmore was transported to the Iowa County Jail and booked on the charges.

Year to date 2025, we have had 5,934 calls for service. Year to date in 2026, we had 7,140 calls for service. That means we are up 1,206 calls compared to this time last year. This past week 13 people were booked into the Iowa County Jail for various offenses/holds.
