The Dodge-Point cross country teams ran at the River Valley invitationallast Saturday on a beautiful day to run.
The boys team finshed 8th in the Large Schools Division while the girls took 11th.
Dodge-Point senior JohnnyRobinson was his team’s topfnisher, taking 5th while sophomore Avalee Langreckpaced the girls, finishing 5th.

Dodge-Point coach Denny McGraw summarized the meet by saying: “The River Valley Invite is a very large invite that is very well organized. The weather cooperated and we participate in the large school division, with many Division 1 schools.”
Girls Varsity”
“The girls varsity placed 11th out of 19 schools in the large school division. Avalee Langreck continues to improve each week and to finish 6th in this huge meet shows her talent. Payton Christopher (45th) kept up a good pace. Raina Arndt (67th), Iliana Zizis (72nd), and Lilly Houtakker (75th) all raced together and helped each other throughout the run. Chloe Eastman (92nd) and Elise Engel (125th) rounded out the varsity runners.”

“The JV Girls placed 10th out of 17 schools. They were led by Faye Schuette. “
Boys Varsity
“The boys varsity placed 8th out of 18 schools in the large school division. Johnny Robinson placed 5th
in a very competitive field. He shows a lot of determination each race. Leif Nelson placed 16th and continues to improve and gaining more confidence. Nolan Allendorf (44th) had a good race with a very strong finish. Jack Tippett (75th) and Rhet Spurley (83rd) helped pace each other. Logan Swinehart (85th) and Jack Christopher (87th) were the other runners for varsity.”

The Dodge Point Cross Country teams next compete at Boscobel on Thursday, September 17th. It is a nighttime event that the runners really enjoy. Race times are 7:30 MS Girls, 7:50 MS Boys, 8:10 HS Girls, 8:55 HS Boys.
