Adam Cody delivered a commanding performance on the mound, striking out 10 batters and carrying a no-hitter through four innings before Gianni Filardo broke it up with a single. Despite the hit, Fennimore couldn’t capitalize at the time, as Cody remained in control deep into the game.

Mineral Point got on the board first in the third inning, taking advantage of a passed ball to plate the game’s opening run. With Cody dealing and the defense holding steady, the Pointers maintained their edge into the late innings.

Fennimore found a way to respond in the top of the seventh, stringing together a pair of singles to tie the game. Casey Dresen delivered the key hit, driving in the run that evened things up and shifted the momentum.

In the eighth inning, Fennimore broke through. Jack Sheckler started the rally with a single down the right field line, followed by a Corey Dresen double and a Grant Biba single, each bringing in a run to give Fennimore the lead.

Noah Needham earned the win in relief for Fennimore, tossing a clean inning while allowing just two hits.

Mineral Point couldn’t answer in the final frame, as Fennimore closed it out to hand the Pointers a tough late-game loss 5-2.
