Mineral Point Easter Egg Hunt April 4

April 4 is the day for the Easter Egg Hunt in Mineral Point. Easter Bunny is available for photographs and colorful plastic eggs filled with candy are ready to be scooped up. Mineral Point Kiwanis and High School Key Club, with the Mineral Point Historical Society, sponsor the hunt. It starts at 10 a.m. at Mineral Point Health Services, 109 N. Iowa St.

First Gallery Night is April 4

The first Gallery Night of the year is 5 to 9 p.m. April 4 in Mineral Point.

Shops, galleries and restaurants are open late. Thirty locations participate and some feature new artwork created over the winter.

Gallery Night is also held on the first Saturdays of June, August and December, when it coincides with Candlelight Shopping.

Mens Bible Study

A mens Bible study will meet every Tues morning at 9:30 a.m. at the home of Norm Johnson, 908 Fountain Street in Mineral Point. We represent no particular religion and only work with the King James version of the Bible. All are invited to attend to attend a wonderful time conversing and answering questions anyone has. There is plenty of parking in the yard and coffee is available. Call 608-425-8095 with questions.

FREE Tax Filing Assistance Available

Volunteer Tax-Aide counselors trained and certified by the IRS will provide one-on-one assistance helping low-to-moderate income or older individuals complete and file their tax returns. This includes 1040 tax forms with schedules A,B, C and D along with the corresponding Wisconsin forms and the Homestead Tax Credit.

Volunteers are available in Spring Green and in Dodgeville by appointment only.

This is program is through the AARP Foundation.

Garage and Bake Sale

The Mineral Point First United Methodist Church will host a garage and bake sale on Friday, April 10 frm 7-5 and on Saturday, April 11 from 7-1. They will also have a brat sale from 10-1 both days.

Mineral Point Library Archives

Free Senior Citizen Athletic Passes

Prepare to cheer on the Pointers! FREE passes for Senior Citizens (MPSD resident age 55 and over). Includes all regular season home MPHS events for the sports that charge admission — football, volleyball, boys and girls basketball, and wrestling. (SWC/SWAL CLASH Wrestling & all sport WIAA postseason events not included). Passes may be obtained in the high school office. Thanks for your support of the Blue and White!
