The Mineral Point Bicentennial Committee is excited to share designs for the official logo, and commemorative coin, as we get ready to celebrate in 2027! These designs were a collaborative effort, and we’d like to thank Mineral Point art teacher Mike Hadfield and his students for their work and design inspiration. After some refining by Megan Kulick, those designs were finalized by Gevelinger Design LLC. The full suite of designs are available for all to use at the Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce website. Businesses, organizations, and community members are encouraged to use the official Bicentennial logos in advertising, promotions, merchandise, signage, and more. We can’t wait to see the Bicentennial celebrated throughout Mineral Point!

The logo celebrates Mineral Point’s past as a mining community, and its present as an arts community. The commemorative coin incorporates the logo and images of our unique community. The images on the reverse side of the coin take inspiration from an iconic window at the Gundry House to divide the design into quadrants. Those quadrants include images of Mineral Point’s cultural history, including a Cornish cottage, the Railroad Museum, our diverse agriculture, and our school district with the Pointer dog.
Monthly Bicentennial Committee meetings continue as we plan for 2027, and meeting schedules, agendas, and minutes can be found at the city website. For more information, visit https://cityofmineralpoint.com/agendas-minutes/.
