The number of measles cases held steady in Iowa County but increased in Lafayette County, according to the latest update Tuesday from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.
In Iowa County, the number of cases remained at 62, the same as last Friday and up from 55 a week ago.
In Lafayette County, the number of cases stands at 77, up from 44 a week ago.
And in Grant County, cases number 18.
The total confirmed in southwest Wisconsin is 157. All but one of the measles cases were in unvaccinated people.
Five hospitalizations have been reported since the outbreak began in July.
So far this year, 3134 cases of measles have been confirmed nationwide, compared to 2289 in all of last year.
The largest outbreaks were in South Carolina (670), Pennsylvania (577) and Utah (526).
