Dodge-Point’s Johnny Robinson was a dual winner taking the 1600 and 3200. Zayne Cartwright took the 110 hurdles and the long jump. Dodge-Point assistant coach- Heather Langreck had these comments about the invite.

“Besides Conferences, we do not put entries into a meet with the idea of trying to win a meet. We want the best individual performances and try to have as many athletes compete competitively with our large numbers. So we are impressed when we find ourselves in 2nd place out of 17 teams.

“Helping the boy’s to that success was senior Zayne Cartwright who individually scored 30 points with three first places (110HH, 300LH, long jump, and Johnny Robinson who scored 20 points with two wins in the distance events (1600m, 3200m).

“Cartwright is a strong, talented and versatile athlete. Robinson came into the season in very good shape and has been a tough competitor from the start of the indoor meets.

“Newcomers to the team, freshman Cade Bohnsack and senior Thorin Vamstad have filled in for our sprint relays and look to be fast enough to continue in those spots.

“The boy’s 4x200m consisting of Harper Olson, Damon Marr, Bohnsack and Jaxon Jabs also placed first.

“On the girl’s side, the 4×100 relay team, consisting of Kit Finely, Payton Chrisopher, Brynn Swenson and Beth Jewell was the lone first place finish for the night.

“We had a lot of solid performances from the girls. We are impressed with our exchange students, Gaelle Descamps and Irene Martinez, both will be an intrical part of our sprint relays this season.”

Argyle/Pec’s Loretta Tisch won the 300 hurdles.

The Dodge-Point girls won the 4×100 relay while the boys won the 4×200.
