Bossert, Kite shut down Boscobel

Brett Bossert and Elliot Kite combined to shut out Boscobel in a SWAL baseball match-up Monday.

The Pointers outdistanced the Bulldogs 10-0 as the duo threw a one hitter. The Dogs got their lone hit off Bossert who went on to strike out seven over four frames. Kite had a walk and a strikeout in a scoreless fifth.

Pointers scored all 10 runs in the fourth inning. Hudson Schroeder singled,for one run, Brylen Lee singled, scoring one run, Kite singled, scoring one run and Connor Rolli singled, scoring two runs. Bossert was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Evan Kearns doubled, scoring three runs, and Cole Ripp singled, knocking in one run.

The Pointers picked up nine hits in the game. Kearns led the Pointers with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-2 on the day.

Lee led the Pointers with two hits in two at bats.

Adam Cody and Grady Finley rounded out the Pointer attack with a hit each.
