The Pointer softball team traveled to Livingston and made a statement, defeating the Iowa- Grant Panthers 7-1. Tenleigh Bockhop continued her dominant sophomore campaign in the circle, striking out 11 batters while allowing just two hits over seven innings.

Mineral Point got on the board in the top of the third with back-toback home runs, as Maddy Kabat went deep and Austy Kinch followed right behind her.

The Pointers kept building their lead in the fifth inning. Jadyn Schultz delivered a two-RBI single, Aida Tuttle added an RBI single of her own, and Ava Ingwell capped off the big inning with an RBI triple to push the lead to 6-0.

Iowa-Grant managed to respond when Brynn Pettit doubled to drive in Presley Lehman, but that would be the Panthers’ only run of the game.

Ingwell stayed hot at the plate, going 3-for-4 and picking up her second RBI of the night to make it 7-1. Bockhop then closed things out with a quick 1-2-3 inning, securing the win and keeping the Pointers’ conference record perfect.
