MINERAL POINT, WI – This fall, the impossible takes the stage in Mineral Point as award-winning illusionist Tristan Crist brings his touring production ILLUSIONS to The Mineral Point Opera House on October 1st at 7:00 p.m.
Known for a fast-paced, modern approach to magic, Crist has built a reputation for creating theatrical experiences that combine large-scale illusions, impossible escapes, audience participation and jaw-dropping moments performed live on stage.
Crist was named “Illusionist of the Year” by the International Magicians Society, and his resident show in nearby Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, has been ranked the #1 “Thing to Do” on TripAdvisor for ten consecutive years.
Now, audiences in Mineral Point will have the opportunity to experience the production in the historic Mineral Point Opera House.
Joining Crist for ILLUSIONS is special guest Master Magician Brett Daniels, a veteran performer known for extraordinary sleight-of-hand and magnificent free-flying birds. Daniels brings a completely different style of magic to the production, creating an evening that moves from intimate moments of pure skill to spectacular stage illusions.
“There’s something completely different about experiencing magic live,” Crist said. “You can watch something on a screen and assume there’s an explanation. When it’s happening right in front of you, with people from the audience involved, that explanation gets a lot harder to find.”
ILLUSIONS is designed as a modern theatrical magic show for audiences of all ages. Rather than relying on a single style of performance, the production combines some of magic’s classic traditions with contemporary staging, theatrical lighting and visual effects.
The result is an evening built around one simple idea: Make the audience question what they just saw.
The Mineral Point performance is part of a select series of Midwest theater appearances for ILLUSIONS, while Crist continues his regular residency at the Tristan Crist Magic Theatre in Lake Geneva.
