The sawdust has settled but the impact lasts forever

People at the SHP build

Such an outpouring of love, enthusiasm, engagement, passion and teamwork that made the work light by many working hands at our last SHP build. Thank you for every single one of you that came out to make a real difference in the lives of our kids, their families and our communities. Our hearts are full and so Grateful.

What an incredible day of building we had Saturday morning! A huge thank you to Tom Mueller for hosting us at Mueller Implements. We were able to move our build outside and enjoyed a perfect day. With beautiful weather and an amazing crew of volunteers, we completed 10 bunk bed tops with safety rails in record time, helping ensure that “No Kid sleeps on the floor in our towns”.

Our Saturday build was part of Bunks Across America’s nationwide build, where more than 250 chapters joined together with the goal of building 12,000 beds. We did our part in BAA 2026 as 35+ super volunteers joined our core team for our 2nd BAA (The 1st one last year was our core team’s Ist practice build) contributing to a nationwide effort involving more than 15,000 volunteers.

This was our last build of the season and we are so grateful for the amazing turnouts at each of our builds, the tremendous community support, the donations and sponsorships that made it possible and the dedicated commitment of our volunteers willing to build more than a bed, delivering beds with heart and covering them with warm, cozy bedding.

Beyond the sawdust that has settled, the saws that are turned off, the drills that are laid down, the branding fire cooled and tables packed up and beyond our last tools put away your hard-working caring volunteer spirit work will go on to have a lasting impact. Your work will go on to change lives forever.

Great Job Everyone! Thank You for coming together to do Great Things for our kids and our community!
