School board renews sports co-op agreements

At its regular meeting Monday night, the Mineral Point School Board:

. Renewed co-op agreements with the Dodgeville district for boys and girls cross country and boys soccer.

. Heard that for the third consecutive year, the district had no restraint or seclusion incidents. The state Department of Public Instruction requires an annual report. The district focuses on prevention, and de-escalation strategies and techniques are part of staff training.

· Changed the compensation plan from inflation-based to an acrossthe-board 50-cent an hour raise every year for support staff and an equitable pro-rated amount for salaried administrative assistants. The new plan is more consistent and predictable for both the district and employees, school officials said.
