Meet the 2026 edition of the Dodgeville-Mineral Point soccer team. Dodge Point United coach Kyle Glynn has 100 wins to his credit and he would like to add several more to that total this year.
He thinks he has the team to do it and is looking at the co-op team to challenge for the SWC title. To do that they, as will the rest of the conference, have to deal with a strong Platteville/Lancaster co-op.
Glynn’s coaching record is 100- 100-22 over his 14 years at Dodgeville. He is assisted by four year veteran and head girls coach Andy Weber and second year coach Robert Quinlan.
Last year the United squad finished the SWC season 1-4-3 while going 2-11-3 overall. They met Edgewood in the first post season game and lost in a shutout 4-0.
Gone from last year’s squad are Andrew Erickson, Damon Marr, Bryce Crubaugh-Lockard, Victor Musinguzi, Aniah Jayapaul Premnaath and Jakob Haakenson.
Glynn has 13 letter-winners back for D/P United. They include Garrett Mancuso, Eli Brokopp, Peyton Elsner, Carter Reed, Levi Casper, Owen Weier, Gael Cardoso, Tyce Sylvester, Jaxon Wedig, Hank Allbright, Ty Chapiewsky, Bram Kreul and Massimo Robinson.
Glynn is impressed with the team chemistry and feels that will be a strength.
“The guys did a lot of work in offseason and have become very close,” Glynn said.
The lack of experience is the biggest issue for the co-op squad.
“We don’t have many players with varsity experience,” Glynn points out.
As for the season the D/P squad has a lot of strong teams to contend with.
“We play a tough schedule and every game will be important,” Glynn says. “I’m hoping that will put us in a position to contend for the conference title.”
Glynn is also hoping United will make the post season a lengthy one.
“I am hoping we have some post season success and can make a run in regionals and sectionals,” Glynn said. “We are hoping to keep pushing and making strides forward this year.”
