Mineral Point completed a sweep of Southwestern in a SWAL matchup Thursday.
Scores: 25-7, 25-14, 25-18 Mineral Point coach Kari Kabat was pleased with how the Pointers put things together in the win.
“This was another strong match for us as we continue to work through lineup adjustments with Giana Bishell out,” said the coach. “We are using this time to develop different options and prepare to pivot depending on what our opponent gives us.”
Kabat said the Pointers had some standouts as they rolled to win.
“Kinlee Prust had a great night at the net with some big blocks and kills, and we will need to continue finding ways to get her more involved offensively,” said Kabat. “Brynn and Bree Swenson continue to be our steady, calming forces that help keep us together, while Thimea Leclef brings the spark and competitiveness we need in the gym. Her drive is evident both in practice and on the court.”
Kabat said getting everyone game action was a plus.
“One of the biggest wins of the night was getting everyone meaningful court time,” Kabat said. “Anytime we can build experience and confidence throughout our roster, that’s a win for our team.”
