Dodgeville/Mineral Point girls took 3rd while the boys were 5th at the Monroe Breuss invitational Cross Country meet held at Twining Park.(23:16.5 116:22.2 4:14.1)
Sophomore Avalee Langreck was DP’s top runner for the girls finishing 3rd overall and 2nd as a team scorer in 20:27.
Monroe won with 36 points nosing out Dubuque Wahlert’s 38.
Next was senior Payton Christopher 16th in 23:12.4. Then came freshman Iliana Zizis 22nd in 23:47.1, senior Lilly Houtakker 29th in 24:14.6, junior Raina Arndt 33rd in 24:41.1, senior Chloe Eastman 47th in 26:02.7, and freshman Adalynn Pagenkopf 67th in 30:39.3.
Dodge-Point had 102, followed by St.Ambrose/Abundant Life 130, Edgewood 168, New Glarus 192, Mount horeb 192, Albany 208, Stockton 232, Delavan-Darien 253, Edgerton 300 and Beloit Memorial 360.
Wahlert freshman Sloan Miller won in 20.08.
Dodge-Point senior johnny Robinson was runner-up in the boy’s race with a time of 16:33.4.
St. Ambrose/Abundant Life junior Jonathan Simon won in 15:44.6
East Dubuque won with 48 points to Monroe’s 73.
Then came Wahlert 76, St. Ambrose/Abundant Life 108, Dodgepoint 147, Edgewood 151, Madison Country Day 174, Albany 212, Stockton 299, Beloit Turner 314, Edgerton 319 and Mount Horeb 326.
The rest of the Dodge-Point finishes were: junior Leif Nelson 11th in 17:29.1, junior Nolan Allendorf 23rd in 18:20.7, freshman Jack Christopher 55th in 20:17.9, freshman Jack Tippert 56th in 20:35.2, junior Logan Swinehart 65th in 21:00.9 and sophomore Brayden McWiliams 82nd in 22:30.3.
The Dodge-Point girls JV finished 4th with 114 points to winning Wahlert’s 20.
DP finishes were: freshman Elise Engel 14th in 27:47.8, senior Faye Schuette 17th in 29:00.6, sophomore Abbey Finley 23rd in 30:06.4, senior Brynlynn Cartwright 30th in 32:56.6, senior Aurora White 31st in 32:56.7 and freshman Bristol Cartwright 36th in 39:22.2.
The boys JV also took 4th with 92 points to winning Wahlert’s 25.
DP finishes were: senior Rhet Spurley 6th in 20:34.4, freshman Brady Blackford 20th in 22:18.2, freshman Levi Drury 21st in 22:22.4, sophomore Aiden Patterson 22nd in 22:50, sophomore Elliot Hesseling 23rd in 22:57.2, Junior Liam Kabat 36th in 24:47.1 and junior Ben Engel 42nd in 25:27.6.
