Two Pointers boys, two girls are basketball All-Stars

Four girls played Wednesday as White squad members with both teams coming out on top. Maddy Kabat and Jayden Schultz, both standouts on the Mineral Point team during their careers, helped the White to an 89-74 win over the Royals. Kabat had 11 points with a three pointer and four twos.

Schultz netted two points for the White.Kylie Butler, Argyle/Pecatonica standout, had nine points on a trio of threes for the D5 White.

Barneveld’s Izzy Durst scored a pair of points also for the White.

Two players did double duty over the weekend as nine area athletes had their last high school experience in senior allstar game competition.

Dodgeville’s Bryce Crubaugh- Lockard and Barneveld’s Hunter Larson played in the Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association all-star game Thursday at Just A Game Fieldhouse then headed to Oshkosh for the Wisconsin Baseball

Coaches Association all-star game. They were members of the South squads at the baseball games and the White teams at the basketball contests.

Crubaugh-Lockard had four points in his time on the court and was in the starting line-up. Larson had six points with a three pointer, two pointer and one of two free throws.

Both players were part of the White team.

The Royal team beat the White team in both outings. The D3 score was 124-100 and the D5 finish was 100-97.

Also playing in the D3 basketball games were Mineral Point standouts Drew Aschliman (10 points, two threes and two two pointers) and Keaton Dempsey (6 points, two threes).

Crubaugh-Lockard and Larson then headed to Oshkosh and EJ Schneider field for a three game series. Crubaugh-Lockard saw action in centerfield and had an rbi. Larson had some hits and played third base.
