The city of Mineral Point offers options to cool down while the area endures excessive heat warnings.
The public pool is open from 1 to 4:45 p.m. and 7 to 8:45 p.m. Monday through Friday; and 1 to 5 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. On July 4, special hours are 1 to 10 p.m.
The public library is a cooling center during the hours it is open, although it will be closed Friday and Saturday due to July 4th. Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
