Mineral Point FFA Livestock Team Captures State Championship, Advances to Nationals

Members of the Mineral Point FFA Chapter are celebrating outstanding success following the State FFA Career Development Event competition held in Madison.

The chapter’s Livestock Evaluation team earned a 1st-place finish and was crowned State Champion, securing the opportunity to represent Wisconsin at the National FFA Convention this October in Indianapolis.

This marks the 8th State Champion Livestock Judging team in chapter history and the 9th overall Career Development Event state championship for Mineral Point FFA.

Members of the championship team include: Aiden Patterson Johnny Robinson Faye Schuette Riley Sennhenn

Individual results were equally impressive, led by Faye Schuette, who placed 2nd overall in the state. Just one point shy of a championship finish. Johnny Robinson earned 8th place individually, while Aiden Patterson finished 35th and Riley Sennhenn placed 85th.

The team and individual award winners will be recognized during the State FFA Convention in June in Madison.

Mineral Point also saw success in the Ag Mechanics competition, where the team placed 9th overall in the state.
