Sidewalks in Mineral Point. We would like to know whose business it is, or if it is the business of anyone, to see that the sidewalks about town are kept in a passable condition. In many places the planks are entirely gone; in others they are broken or loose, and in such condition as to render it dangerous passing over them except with the utmost caution, particularly after dark. Only a few days since, we saw a lady get a severe fall, on account of the bad condition of the sidewalk on Main Street. It is highly necessary that someone attended to them to putting them in order, before the limbs or neck of some of our citizens are broken, and we hope that if no one is authorized to do it, our citizens will take it in hand and make it their duty.

100 YEARS AGO April 29, 1926 ODD FELLOWS ANNIVERSARY.

Sunday was a gala day for the Odd Fellows of this district. It was in observance of the 107th anniversary of the founding of the order in America. They assembled in good numbers from this city and neighboring towns, formed a march from the local hall in the afternoon and proceeded to the Congregational church, where the pastor, Rev. A. H. Schoenfeld, delivered a ringing address on Friendship, Love, and Truth, the order’s guiding stars to which they cling with admirable tenacity. The attendance was quite large; the Sisters, or Rebekahs, rallied commendably.
