To make Mineral Point softball head coach Quinn Schultz’s 18th season the best it can be the Pointers have to take it one step further.
That would be to win one more game at the WIAA State Tournament. Last year, after tieing for the SWAL crown the Pointers claimed Regional and Sectional titles and finished their season at the state semifinals where they lost to Mishicot.
Last year saw the Pointers finish conference play 13-1 and the season 24-6. Schultz comes into the season with a 295-116 coaching record.
The Pointers had four strong players graduate that Schultz will have to replace. Gone are Ella Kroll, Liz Hoffman, Ally Baehler and Eliza Ingwell. Hoffman is continuing her softball career as she is now playing at UW-Platteville.

Schutz places the favorites tag on- Fennimore, Cuba City and Iowa- Grant. As for the Pointers Schultz is hoping to finish in top three.
Pitching and defense area the strongest parts of Mineral Point softball coming into the 2026 season.
To put the season at its highest level Schultz feels hitting, baserunning and communication are areas the Pointers will make their priorities.
