The Pointer Softball Team continued its dominant start to SWAL Action, defeating the Southwestern Wildcats 16-0 in a combined nohitter from Tenleigh Bockhop and Aida Tuttle.
The Pointers got out to a quick 6-0 start in the first inning, and they never looked back. They replicated that in the second inning, expanding the lead to 12-0. Pointers were led by Bockhop, driving in 5 runs, and Leah Hoffman added 3.
The pitching remained unhittable, with Bockhop picking up 8 strikeouts in just 3 innings, followed by Tuttle tossing 2 scoreless innings and adding 4 strikeouts.
Mineral Point collected 14 hits, and remaining tranquil at the plate, walking 5 times.
