The Pointers capped off their week in impressive fashion Friday night, traveling to Livingston and coming away with a 4-1 victory over Iowa- Grant.

After a tightly contested start, the Pointers broke through in the top of the fifth inning, plating key runs that gave them control of the game. The timely scoring proved to be all the support they would need behind a dominant effort on the mound.

Leading the way offensively was Adam Cody, who turned in a standout performance by going 3-for-4 at the plate. His consistency fueled the Pointers’ attack and kept pressure on the Panthers throughout the night.

Brylen Lee was equally impressive, earning the complete-game win. The right-hander was sharp from start to finish, allowing just one run over seven innings while keeping Iowa-Grant hitters off balance.

The Panthers’ lone run came in the bottom of the seventh inning when Brock Hinderman connected on a solo home run, breaking up the shutout bid. However, it was too little, too late, as Lee closed the door to secure the victory.

With the 4-1 win, the Pointers finish the week on a strong note, carrying momentum forward as they continue their season
