Gallery Night season opens

Helen Avakian consults with Kate Olsen Birner, whose Courage show opened on Gallery Night Saturday at Proper Maid. The exhibit includes portraits, cards and prints of people whose courage inspired the artist. It runs through April 25. Gallery Nights continue on June 6, Aug. 1 and Dec. 5, which coincides with Candlelight Shopping.
